South Carolina rising junior Wesley Bryan won his first-round match at the U.S. Amateur Public Links Championship on Wednesday, defeating Texas A&M sophomore Cameron Peck, 1 up, at the Bryan Park Champions Course. Senior George Bryan IV fell to Chris Igawa in his match, 2 and 1.

Bryan Brothers Advance to Match Play at Publinks
South Carolina golfers George Bryan IV and Wesley Bryan made the cut of 64 players who will advance to the match play round at the U.S. Amateur Public Links Championship as 36 holes of stroke play concluded Wednesday morning. It is the third straight year for Wesley Bryan to earn a spot in the match play field.

Logan Harrell Wins Carolinas Amateur Championship
Incoming freshman Gamecock golfer Logan Harrell shot a final-round 67 (-4) to hold on and win the 96th Carolinas Amateur Championship on Sunday at Pinehurst Resort and Country Club (Course No. 8). Harrell won by two shots over Scott Harvey.

Three Gamecock Seniors Named All-America Scholars
South Carolina senior men's golfers George Bryan IV, Patrick Rada and Paul Woodbury were all named to the Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar Team, which was announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America this week. The trio of Gamecocks were among 119 Division I players that received the honor.
